Lincoln Navigator: Interior Trim and Ornamentation / Front Door Trim Panel. Removal and Installation

Removal

Release the clip and remove the sail panel trim panel.
-
If equipped.
Disconnect the front door tweeter speaker electrical connector.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

If equipped.

Release the clips and remove the door handle trim cover.
Use the General Equipment: Pick Hook
 |
-
Remove the front door trim panel bolts.
 |
-
Remove the front door trim panel lower bolts.
 |
-
Release the front door trim panel clips.
 |
-
Remove the front door trim panel.
-
Lift upward and outward on the front door trim panel.
-
Release the tab and disconnect the interior front door handle cable.
-
Disconnect the front door trim panel wiring harness electrical connector.
-
Lift upward and outward on the front door trim panel.

Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Transfer parts as necessary.

Wheel to Hub Runout Minimization. General Procedures

NOTE: Wheel-to-hub optimization is important. Clearance between the wheel and hub can be used to offset or neutralize the Road Force® or run-out of the wheel and tire assembly. For every 0.001 inch of wheel-to-hub clearance, the Road Force® can be affected between 1 and 3 pounds depending on the tire stiffness.
NOTE: The example below illustrates how the clearance between the wheel and the hub can be used to offset the high spot of radial run-out or Road Force®. Following the procedure will make sure of the best optimization.
