Lincoln Navigator: Rear Climate Control / Rear Heater Core. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
If a heater core leak is suspected, the heater core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.
NOTE:

Drain the cooling system.
Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03 Engine Cooling)

Remove the RH loadspace trim panel.
Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

NOTE:
Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Disconnect the quick release couplings from the rear heater core.
Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00 Fuel System - General Information)

Remove the retainer and open the rear heater core door.

Remove the clips and disconnect the rear heater core lines. Discard the O-ring seals.

Remove the rear heater core.
Installation

NOTE:
Use only the O-ring seals contained in the rear heater core service kit.
NOTE:
Verify that the heater core tube fittings are
completely seated in the heater core before installing the heater core
tube fitting clips.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill and bleed the cooling system.
