Removal

Remove the inner CV joint boot.
Refer to: Inner Constant Velocity (CV) Joint Boot (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).

Remove and discard the CV joint boot clamps.

Remove the CV joint boot.
Installation

Clean and inspect the CV joint cage.

Inspect the outer CV joint housing for damage.

Install The grease sachet evenly in theCV joint boot and housing.

Install the CV joint housing.

NOTE:
When installing the CV joint housing, insert a small flat blade
screwdriver under the CV joint boot seat to allow air to escape.
Using a flat blade screw driver to allow air to escape, install the CV joint housing.
Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

Using boot clamp pliers, install the new CV joint boot clamps.

Install the inner CV joint boot.

NOTE:
The crankshaft connecting rod journals must be
within specifications to check the connecting rod bearing journal
clearance.
Remove the connecting rod bearing cap and connecting rod bearing.
Position a piece of Plastigage across the bearing surface.
