Lincoln Navigator: Lane Keeping System / Image Processing Module A (IPMA). Removal and Installation
Removal

If a new IPMA is being installed, using a diagnostic scan tool, begin
the PMI process for the IPMA following the on-screen instructions.

Disconnect the trailer tow lighting module electrical connectors.
-
Remove the bolts and trailer tow lighting module.
Torque:
62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Disconnect the IPMA electrical connectors.
-
Remove the bolts and IPMA
Torque:
36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If a new IPMA has been installed, using a diagnostic scan tool,
complete the PMI process for the IPMA following the on-screen
instructions.

If equipped with 360 degree camera, run the FDRS
IPMA – 360 degree view camera alignment application.
-
If equipped with only rear view camera with pro trailer or reverse brake assist, run the FDRS
IPMA – pro trailer backup assist camera alignment (if available) or rear parking aid camera alignment.
