Lincoln Navigator: Lane Keeping System / Image Processing Module A (IPMA). Removal and Installation

Removal

1. If a new IPMA is being installed, using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the IPMA following the on-screen instructions.
   

1. Disconnect the trailer tow lighting module electrical connectors.
   

1. Remove the bolts and trailer tow lighting module.
   Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

1. Disconnect the IPMA electrical connectors.
   

1. Remove the bolts and IPMA
   Torque: 36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. If a new IPMA has been installed, using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the IPMA following the on-screen instructions.
   

1. 
   
   • If equipped with 360 degree camera, run the FDRS IPMA – 360 degree view camera alignment application.
     
   • If equipped with only rear view camera with pro trailer or reverse brake assist, run the FDRS IPMA – pro trailer backup assist camera alignment (if available) or rear parking aid camera alignment.
