Removal

Open the hood.

NOTICE: Support the hood before removing the strut. Failure to follow this direction may result in damage to the components.

NOTICE: Use the correct service parts when replacing the hood struts. The hood struts are not interchangeable and using the incorrect service part will result in damage to components.
Release the clips and remove the struts.

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position the vehicle on a hoist.

Remove the bolts and the transmission shield.
