Lincoln Navigator: Hydraulic Brake Actuation / Adjustable Pedal Indexing. General Procedures
NOTICE:
The adjustable pedal system must be indexed whenever the brake
pedal assembly or accelerator pedal assembly is installed or damage to
the components may result.
NOTE:
Typical adjustable pedal switch location shown, others similar.

Disconnect the adjustable pedal motor drive cable from the adjustable brake pedal drive.

Operate the accelerator pedal to the full rearward position.

Connect the adjustable pedal motor drive cable to the adjustable brake pedal drive.

Operate the adjustable pedals until the pin is aligned with the witness mark on the brake pedal bracket.

Disconnect the adjustable pedal motor drive cable to the adjustable brake pedal drive.

Operate the adjustable accelerator pedal forward until there
is a 4mm (0.157 in) gap between the screw head and the moving structure
of the accellerator pedal.

Connect the adjustable pedal motor drive cable to the adjustable brake pedal drive.
-
Check that the brake and accelerator pedals can be fully adjusted forward and rearward.
