Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Fully open the roof opening panel shield.
  1. Vent the roof opening panel glass.
  1. NOTE: During installation, make sure the blind is fully seated. An audible noise will be heard when the blind seats to the lower bracket.

    RH side shown, LH side similar. Remove the roof opening panel blind by pulling inward on the top and bottom of the roof opening panel blind and discard.
  1. Close the roof opening panel glass.
  1. NOTE: RH side shown, LH side similar.

    With the help of an assistant.
    Remove the bolts and the roof opening panel glass.
    Torque: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Align the roof opening panel glass.
    Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Alignment (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, General Procedures).
  1. Carry out the roof opening panel initialization.
    Refer to: Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, General Procedures).

    Activation

    NOTICE: Suspension fasteners are critical parts that affect the performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.

    Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the rear camber.
