Lincoln Navigator: Exterior Trim and Ornamentation / Rear Fender Splash Shield. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

All vehicles

1. Remove the RH side rear wheel.
   Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
   

Long wheelbase

1. Remove the nuts.
   Torque: 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

1. 
   Remove the rear fender splash shield.
   
   1. Remove the screw.
      Torque: 13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)
   2. Remove the pin-type retainers.
      
   3. Remove the push pin retainers and the rear fender splash shield.
      

Short wheelbase

1. Remove the nuts.
   Torque: 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

1. 
   Remove the rear fender splash shield.
   
   1. Remove the screw.
      Torque: 13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)
   2. Remove the pin-type retainers.
      
   3. Remove the push pin retainers and the rear fender splash shield.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
