Lincoln Navigator: Exterior Trim and Ornamentation / Rear Spoiler. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may include installation details.

1. Open the liftgate.
   

1. NOTE: For clarity Liftgate is not shown.

   Position the liftgate opening weather-strip aside.

   Release the clips and remove the liftgate opening upper trim panel.
   

1. 
   Disconnect the spoiler electrical harness.
   
   1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
      
   2. Detach the electrical harness retainer.
      
   3. Disconnect the rear window washer hose connection.
      

1. Release the wiring harness grommet and route the spoiler harness out from vehicle.
   

1. Open the liftgate window.
   

1. Remove the spoiler to liftagate window retainers.
   Torque: 15 lb.in (1.7 Nm)

1. 
   Remove the spoiler mounting fasteners.
   
   • Remove the nuts.
     Torque: 12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)
   • Using a screwdriver, lift the spoiler while releasing the retainer tabs.
     

1. Remove the spoiler.
   

Installation

1. To reinstall, reverse the removal procedure.
