Interior Trim Remover

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Recline the front seat backrest to ease detachment of the front seat backrest lower cover.

  1. Position the front seat backrest lower cover assembly to access the front seat bolster paddle(s).
    1. Detach the front seat cover assembly from the front seat backrest module retainers.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
    1. On both side.
      Position the front seat backrest cover assembly to release the retainers.
    1. Slide the front seat backrest cover assembly up to release the retainers.
  1. NOTE: The front seat backrest cover assembly is shown removed for clarity.

    Remove the bolts and the front seat bolster paddle.
    Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Check

    NOTE: Wheel-to-hub optimization is important. Clearance between the wheel and hub can be used to offset or neutralize the Road Force® or run-out of the wheel and tire assembly. For every 0.001 inch of wheel-to-hub clearance, the Road Force® can be affected between 1 and 3 pounds depending on the tire stiffness.

    NOTE: The example below illustrates how the clearance between the wheel and the hub can be used to offset the high spot of radial run-out or Road Force®. Following the procedure will make sure of the best optimization.
