Lincoln Navigator: Third Row Seats / Third Row Seat Head Restraint. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
Double seat shown, single seat similar.

Remove the third row seat.
Refer to: Third Row Seat (501-10C Third Row Seats, Removal and Installation).

Remove the child safety seat tether anchor bezels.
-

Release the third row double seat backrest cover the J-clip.
-
Unzip the third row double seat backrest cover.
-
Position the third row double seat backrest cover flap aside.
-
Remove the pin-type retainers and position the third row double seat backrest cover straps aside.
-
Feed the wiring harnesses through the third row double seat backrest cover.
-
Detach the wiring harness retainers.
-
Disconnect the seat electrical connectors.
-
If equipped. Disconnect the seatbelt buckle electrical connector.
-
Feed the wiring harnesses through the backrest cover.
-
Lift the third row double seat backrest cover.
-
Remove the third row seat head restraint power fold actuator cable guard.
-
Release the cable guard retainer.
-
Remove the cable guard.
-
Remove the third row seat head restraint power fold actuator cable retainer.
-
Remove the third row seat outer head restraint.
-
On both head restraint guide sleeves.
Insert a 1.27 mm (0.050 inch) hex key and release the head restraint guide sleeve internal locking spring.

Remove the third row seat outer head restraint.
-
Remove the third row seat center head restraint.
-
Depress the locking tabs.
-
Remove the third row seat center head restraint.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedures.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the battery monitoring sensor when
removing the terminal from the battery post. Do not pry on the terminals
or component damage may occur.
NOTE:
When the battery is disconnected and connected, some
abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its
adaptive strategy...
