Lincoln Navigator: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms / Liftgate Window Glass. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Open the liftgate window glass.

NOTE:
Liftgate shown closed for clarity.
Disconnect the heated rear window element electrical connectors.

Remove the rear spoiler.
Refer to: Rear Spoiler (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Release the clips and disconnect the rear window glass lift struts.

Remove the liftgate window glass.
-
Remove the liftgate window glass hinge nut.
Torque:
106 lb.in (12 Nm)

Slide the liftgate window glass off the pivot pins and remove the liftgate window glass.

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the rear window wiper pivot arm
Refer to: Rear Window Wiper Pivot Arm (501-16 Wipers and Washers, Removal and Installation).

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the wiper pivot shaft nut cover.

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the wiper pivot shaft nut.
Torque:
155 lb.in (17.5 Nm)

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the wiper pivot shaft trim cover.
-
Remove the wiper pivot shaft trim cover bolts.
Torque:
28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

Remove the wiper pivot shaft trim cover.
-
NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.
-
Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft nuts.
Torque:
55 lb.in (6.2 Nm)
-
Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
