Removal

NOTE: Short wheelbase shown, long wheelbase similar.

  1. Position the liftgate weatherstrip aside.
  1. Release the clips and remove the liftgate scuff plate trim panel.
  1. Remove the load floor cover.
  1. Position the load floor storage compartment cover up.
  1. Remove the vehicle jack assembly.
  1. Disconnect the keyless entry rear antenna electrical connector.
  1. Remove the load floor storage compartment bolts.
  1. Release the clips and remove the load floor storage compartment.
  1. Remove the nuts and the keyless entry rear antenna.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Preliminary Inspection

    Visually inspect the CV joints, housing, boots, and clamps for obvious signs of mechanical damage.
    If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step
    If the cause is not visually evident, verify the symptom and REFER to Symptom Chart: NVH.
