Draining

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
    Refer to: Jacking and Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
  1. Remove the rear axle fluid drain plug and allow the axle fluid to drain.

Filling

  1. Install the rear axle fluid drain plug.
    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
  1. Remove the rear axle fluid fill plug.
  1. Fill the differential with clean differential gear lubricant.
    Refer to: Specifications (205-02B) .
  1. Install the rear axle fluid fill plug.
    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
