Lincoln Navigator: Second Row Seats / Second Row Seats - Overview. Description and Operation

Lincoln Navigator 2018-2025 Workshop Manual / Body and Paint / Second Row Seats / Second Row Seats - Overview. Description and Operation

Overview

Power E-Z Entry Seats

While the rear passenger door is open, pressing and releasing the LH or RH rear seat control switch (located at the back of the rear door opening) causes the corresponding rear seat to pitch and slide forward for access to the third row seating.

Power-Folding Seats

Pressing and releasing the rear seat control switch (located in the rear cargo area on the LH rear quarter trim panel) causes the corresponding rear seat backrest(s) to fold forward for additional cargo space. To return the backrest to the original position, manually rotate the backrest up until the backrest latches in the upright position.

Heated/Ventilated Seats

The rear passenger heated/ventilated seat control buttons are located on the RACM (touchscreen). Each time the heated/ventilated seat buttons are pressed, the heated/ventilated seat decreases one setting (the sequence is high, medium, low, off, high, etc.).

The heated/ventilated seat system consists of the following components:

  • Seat cushion heater mat
  • Seat backrest heater mat
  • Blower motor, located within each front seat cushion and backrest
  • RACM (touchscreen) (located in the rear of the center console or in the second row seat center armrest)
  • SCME (integral to the DSM located under the front driver seat cushion)
  • SCMF (integral to the SCMB located under the front passenger seat cushion)
  • Cushion and backrest vent bags (part of the cushion and backrest foam)
  • Air duct (bellow)
  • Cushion and backrest foam
  • Cushion and backrest trim covers

Multi-Contour Seats

NOTE: The engine must be running or the vehicle must be in accessory mode to activate the rear multi-contour seats.

NOTE: The multi-contour seat massage mode is disabled when the child safety lock is active. For additional information on how to enable/disable the child safety locks, refer to the Owner's Literature.

This system allows on demand independent lumbar adjustment and/or massage of each rear passenger seat.

The multi-contour rear passenger seat system consists of the following components:

  • SCMC (LH rear multi-contour seat module) (serviced with the multi-contour seat power lumbar assembly).
  • SCMD (RH rear multi-contour seat module) (serviced with the multi-contour seat power lumbar assembly).
  • Multi-contour seat buttons on the RACM (touchscreen) located in the rear of the center console or in the second row seat center armrest.
  • Multi-contour control pump (air pump and hose assembly) (located behind each rear passenger seat backrest)
  • Multi-contour seat cushion adjuster, attached to each rear passenger seat frame (includes control module, 4 inflatable air bladders and hoses)
  • Multi-contour seat power lumbar assembly, attached to each rear passenger seat backrest (includes SCMC (LH rear multi-contour seat module) or SCMD ( RH rear multi-contour seat module), 3 inflatable air bladders and hoses)
