Lincoln Navigator: Full Frame and Body Mounting / Frame and Body Mounting. Description and Operation
The frame consists of 2 steel channel rails, a front crossmember, a transmission support crossmember and mid and rear welded crossmembers.
Frame repair kits are available for the frame components listed below: Instruction Sheets for each service part (found in the service part packaging) are included with the service part.

Body Mounts
The body support mounts:
- secure the body to the frame.
- cannot be lubricated during body support mount installation
NOTE: Body mount bolts should not be reused. Follow the steps below for repair:
- Always use new body mount bolts.
- Body retainer cage nuts must be serviced as an assembly.
- Refer to the following illustrations for body mount torque values.

Preliminary Inspection
Visually inspect the CV joints, housing, boots, and clamps for obvious signs of mechanical damage.If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step
If the cause is not visually evident, verify the symptom and REFER to Symptom Chart: NVH.
